History:
Aarau was founded in the 13th century by the Habsburgers. In 1798 the Helvetic republic (Switzerland) was founded in Aarau.
Actual:
The town has about 16000 inhabitants. The most photos and webcams of Aarau are added in 2008.
Interesting:
Thanks to the 70 painted roofs on the down and front side, Aarau got the name "city of the beautiful roofs".
