History:
Thun is mentioned for the first time in history (laco duninse) in 700. In 1190 the familie Zähringer build the castle. In 1692 Bern forches Thun to grow 300 Maulbeer trees, for the manufacturing of silk, but it was not a success. In 1818 the military school is founded.
Actual:
Thun has about 42000 inhabitants. The armee is important for Thun. The most photos and webcams of Thun are added in 2008.
Interesting:
In the middle of july there is always an international turn-organ-festival in Thun.
