Histoire:
Solothurn (Salodurum) was already known by the Romans, they build in 350 the first town walls. In 1481 Solothurn joined the swiss confideration. In 1533 mister Wengi prohibit a protestant-katholic civil war by standing in front of the guns.
Maintenant:
The city has about 15000 inhabitants and is the third biggest city (after Olten and Grenchen) of canton Solothurn.
Intéressant:
Solothurn is called the most beautiful barroc-city of Switzerland. Solothurn has a "holy" number 11, its origin goes back the middle ages.
